We have 2 yummy peach trees in our back yard that gave us lots of awesome peaches this year. I found a recipe for a peach pie that I wanted to try, but it made two pies. So I decided to take one to a friend. So I put the kids in the car, (front seat, not buckled-I know-I'm a bad mom, but we were only going over 1 street!) and as we were getting in the car, Lucy-the dog, wanted to come. So I put her in the front with me. Ethan is sitting in the passenger seat with the pie on his lap. As we turn the corner of her street, Lucy jumps from my lap, over to Ethan! She lands in the pie and it goes flying everywhere! The dog has whip cream and a peach slice stuck in her fur and there is whip cream all over the car! I wanted to kill the stupid dog! So I drove over to my friends house, showed her what happened and apologized. I felt pretty dumb-one, for not having a pie to give her, and two-for taking my dog in the car when there was food there! Oh well, such is the life with dogs and children!

Oh yes, such is the life with kids and dogs. Ethan looks so distraught! But I laughed none the less when I read this!!!
How funny! I can relate a similar experience with my dog and jello at Thanksgiving. I love all the posts very fun!
